Turn off the lights and let the show begin! Moulin Roty’s ‘Il etait une fois’ storybook torch is a great interactive toy for story-telling, allowing your child to narrate each story just like an old fashioned slide-show.  The torch comes with three storybook discs each depicting a different story with a fairy-tale theme. Each story disc contains eight different scenes that can be projected onto a blank wall or fabric screen – any light coloured surface will do. Batteries are included.

To use the torch, simply place the disc into the torch and turn the disc to scroll through all the images (there is a slot to take the disc just behind the yellow lens – opened via a spring loaded sliding latch). The image can be enlarged or reduced by moving the torch back and forth and the focus can be controlled by turning the yellow lens at the head of the torch.

The storybook torch is lots of fun and a fabulous way to develop and nurture a wide range of skills. It can help nurture verbal communication skills in even the most shy child and will also help boost creativity and stimulate the imagination. An added benefit of the storybook torch is that it will help with the development of fine motor skills when manipulating the story wheels and focus.

It comes packaged in an attractive, illustrated box and would make a great gift for a birthday party, a small gift for your child or a stocking filler.
