A great interactive toy for story-telling, Moulin Roty’s storybook torch is lots of fun and a fabulous way to develop and nurture a wide range of skills.
The pack contains a torch with three storybook discs depicting three different, but related, circus stories – ‘The circus comes to town’, ‘Panic in the menagerie’ & ‘Run for your life’. Batteries are also included. Each story disc contains eight different scenes that can be projected onto a blank wall or fabric screen – any light coloured surface will do.To use the torch, simply place the disc into the torch and turn the disc to scroll through all the images (there is a slot to take the disc just behind the red lens – opened via a spring loaded sliding latch). The image can be enlarged or reduced by moving the torch back and forth and the focus can be controlled by turning the red lens at the head of the torch.
The storybook torch set provides the images, however, it is up to the child to interpret these images and to create and narrate a story to suit. This helps nurture verbal communication skills in even the most shy child. It will also help boost creativity and stimulate the imagination. An added benefit of the storybook torch is that it will help with the development of fine motor skills when manipulating the story wheels and focus.
Size: Torch is 11 cm long
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly

Alison –
This little torch is a wonderful way to learn about shadows and light and provides the perfect foundation for creativity and exploring the imagination. We use this to tell stories to our 3 yro son sometimes instead of reading him a book, and he absolutely loves it as do we.
