We love long weekends – especially when the weather is warm. What a perfect time to go to the beach!
Julius, Amedee, Perlette and Jeanne decided that they would make a day of it and maybe even camp overnight, if the babies were well behaved.
They were so excited to finally arrive at the beach – there was a bit of stuff to carry, but many hands make light work.
The “Tinys” didn’t waste any time in getting into the water. Julius and Amedee kept a careful eye on them, even though it was a fairly shallow rock pool. Wait on a minute, where is Perlette?
Perlette had snuck around the corner to do a spot of fishing. It had been a while since she had caught up with her 3 friends, and they had quite a bit to talk about.
Meanwhile, Jeanne took the babies to build sandcastles. They got off to a good start, but Baby Julius and Perlette just couldn’t help jumping on them!
The older ones decided that it would be fun to do a bit of rock climbing. Strangely enough, Amedee the duck found the whole thing quite easy. Julius and Perlette struggled a little, but soon made it to the top of the rock ledge.
It was so high up there, but Julius just loved the feel of the sea breeze on his face!
It made him feel a bit special!
When they found a sheltered cave in the rocks – out of the wind and clear of the rising tide, they all agreed that it would be lovely to stay the night. Everyone set to work and before long they had put together a makeshift tent, a cosy campfire and a pot of baked beans. Even the fish decided to stay for tea (although to tell you the truth, fish are not really very fond of beans!)
